Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. GEOmeter uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage) to operate the platform, remember your preferences, and understand how the service is used.

| geo_auth | HTTP Cookie | Internal team authentication for the dashboard and CRM. | 30 days | Legitimate interest (operational security) |
| geo_cookie_consent | Local Storage | Records your cookie consent preference so we don't show the banner repeatedly. | 1 year | Necessary (consent management) |
| _ga, _ga_* | HTTP Cookie | Google Analytics 4 — measures usage patterns, scan volumes, page engagement. IP anonymised. No cross-site tracking. | 13 months | Consent (opt-in only) |
| __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid | HTTP Cookie | Set by Stripe during payment processing to prevent fraud. We do not control these cookies. | Session / 1 year | Legitimate interest (fraud prevention) |
The geo_session and geo_auth cookies are strictly necessary to deliver the service you have purchased or requested. These cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality. No consent is required for these under PDPO Cap. 486 and GDPR Article 6(1)(b) (contract performance).
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how users interact with GEOmeter — which pages are most visited, how long scans take, and where users drop off. Analytics are activated only after you accept cookies via our consent banner. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies or using the opt-out below.

Our payment processor Stripe sets cookies during checkout to prevent fraud and ensure payment security. These are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. We do not control these cookies and cannot disable them without disabling payment functionality.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling functional cookies (geo_session) will prevent access to paid features. Links to browser cookie controls:

When you submit a brand name and query for a GEO scan, this data is transmitted to third-party AI engines (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, xAI, Perplexity, Moonshot, Alibaba DashScope, Tencent Hunyuan, DeepSeek, and Brave Search) solely to generate your GEO score. We do not store your scan inputs beyond the current browser session. Each AI engine's use of this data is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. GEOmeter is not responsible for how third-party AI providers process query data.
Session cookies: 30 days. Analytics data: retained by Google for 13 months, then auto-deleted. We do not store personally identifiable information from scan queries.
